Metronet has deployed its own OFC Carrier-class Metro - Ethernet STM 16 (2.5 Gbps) ring on Next Generation Ethernet over SDH technology taking Ethernet service-level traffic management in a single platform. This Multi Service delivery Platform gives the ability to migrate to an integrated service model. Point-to-point as well as advanced point-to-multipoint, and multipoint-to-multipoint Ethernet/IP services such as Video, VoIP (Voice over IP) and Virtual Private Networks can be delivered over existing SDH network supporting the transport of a diverse array of data services over deployed network infrastructure
